With God’s help, we seek to accomplish the following:

• To be a worshipping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His fellowship

• To help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man.

• To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers

• To be a church that ministers to all persons in Jesus’ name

• To be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and the world

Worship

Worship is giving God praise for which He is and what He has done. God deserves and demands time when He is our audience and our focus. We seek to provide a time and place be it in silent awe or joyous song where believers can worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24 “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshippers. God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Discipleship

Discipleship is reading and applying God’s written revelation of Himself and His purposes. No believer can remain ignorant and obedient. Before we can obey, we must learn what Jesus commanded. We seek to provide teachers who model discipleship and who will motivate believers to a lifetime commitment to study the Bible. 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.”

Fellowship

Fellowship is sharing resources and relationships. We seek to provide times for believers share time, talk, food and God’s goodness. 1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us all from sin.”

Ministry

Ministry is meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others. We seek to help believers discover their spiritual gifts and gain experience ministering in the church and community. Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me.”

Evangelism

Evangelism is sharing the Good News that God offers forgiveness to all who surrender to and trust in His Son Jesus, who died in our place to reconcile us to God and lives forever as our Lord and Savior. Acts 1:8 “but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

As the church exalts the Savior, equips the saints, and evangelizes the lost through these five functions, it carries out the Great Commission of our Lord found in Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
